Five ways to expand your brand

Five ways to expand your brand

Branding is so much more than just logos, a website and a well thought out color scheme and tagline. Branding encompasses an entire experience and sheds a light on how your customers perceive your company.

Here are five things to consider when expanding your brand:

Who are you? – Finding the answer to this simple question may be more challenging than you thought. Why? Because this step is pivotal in defining your brand’s path and will bring to the surface what your brand stands for. What does your brand value? What are you offering your customers that your competitors aren’t? These are all questions that you should consider when building your brand.

Set yourself apart – How do you want your customers to perceive your brand? Setting yourself apart from the competition is an important part of brand building. It takes time to set your brand apart from the competition and it takes creativity as well as a unique approach to position your brand in a way that your customers will clearly see and appreciate the value of your brand and what you have to offer.

Market your brand – Building your brand takes time. It’s not an overnight success story. In fact, let’s imagine your brand as a seedling. You bury the seedling in some rich beautiful soil that gets the perfect amount of sunlight in a plot of land that you water and nurture every day until it sprouts into a beautiful flower. This seedling (if you haven’t guessed it yet) is your brand. The lesson of this story is that building your brand takes time, attention and diligence in creating something that will flourish through your marketing efforts such as blogs, social media and other promotional tactics.

Change is a constant – To build on the last point; your brand should never be stagnant. Your company will inevitably go through a cycle where announcements, changes and other business-related circumstances will change the shape of your brand. All of these possibilities should help you build your brand in a positive light. It’s also important to make sure that your brand is malleable so that you can adjust your vision to welcome these changes and redesign your brand for the better.

Be personable – Humanizing your brand is important because it will give it an identity. Let your customers see your personality through your brand and invite them to help you build your brand. Encouraging consumer-brand interaction is one way to put a personal spin on your products and realize the needs and desires of your customer base.

In a nutshell, Branding is essential. Branding is important. Branding is necessary
